Lane's Automotive History.....
In December of 1976, Ron Lane, along with his wife Cindy, opened the doors of Lane's Automotive on highway 157 in south Euless. This family business immediately began providing quality automotive service to the residents of the Hurst, Euless, Bedford area and continues to do so to this day. Over the years though, the business has grown as has the family.
From his beginnings of working odd jobs and clean-up around the shop in the summer, Dean, Ron's son, entered into the business as a mechanic's apprentice in 1983. Side by side with his father, he learned the ins and outs of the business and in January of 1988 he was promoted to the front office manager.
Business was good and continued to grow. In 1993, Lane's Automotive was incorporated as D&R Lane incorporated but kept the old name. This father and son team managed the corporate growth well.
The big time: The Lane's out grew their historic home and MOVED!! Yes, in July of 1999, after being in the same place for over 20 years, Lane's Automotive moved to 108 W. Midway Drive, a new location just off of main street in Euless Tx.
Today, Lane's Automotive maintains and services a clientel of over 5,000 satisfied customers. Dean estimates that approximately 80% of their current business is repeat business while 20% represents new business. In order to maintain this type of growth and dedication to its clients, Lane's Automotive constantly strives to provide its staff with the most current technology thereby providing the best diagnotics and repairs in the area.
Right now there is Ron, the father, and Dean, the son. What about the future? Dean is the proud father of two sons, Zachary and Cameron. When the time comes there may be yet a third generation of Lane's but only time will tell.
